Cramly

Privacy Policy

Effective 17 October 2026

Cramly turns your study notes into short videos and quizzes. We designed it so your notes stay on your iPhone. This policy explains exactly what happens to your information.

The short version

Information that stays on your device

Scanning, text recognition, script writing (Apple's on-device AI or Cramly's offline Quick mode), voice-over, music and video rendering all happen on your iPhone. Your reels, quiz scores, study streak and settings are stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. Deleting the app deletes them.

Cramly Cloud (optional, Pro only)

Cramly Cloud is off by default and asks for your permission before it is first used. When you use it:

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. To confirm a Pro subscription for Cramly Cloud, the app sends your App Store transaction identifier, which our server checks with Apple. We keep a monthly usage counter linked to that identifier for up to about 70 days to enforce fair-use limits, and cache the subscription check for up to 15 minutes.

Permissions

Children

Cramly is suitable for students of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. No account or personal details are needed to use the app.

Your choices and rights

Security

All network requests use HTTPS. Reels are stored with iOS file protection. Our server verifies every Pro request with Apple before doing any work.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
